Default Strange question about laptop screen

How do I get that round thingy out? It's indented and I don't seem to be able to force it out from the back. The rest of the plastic around the screen has just popped off but I can't make that thing budge at all Any ideas without snapping the casing?

What's the model number? Do you have a service/maintenance manual for it?

I would have thought they are glued on pieces of plastic ontop of a screw head.

Could you try using a small pointed blade around the circle (just to loosen it a little), then something a bit stronger to try and lever it out?

edit: were there any other screws to take off from the screen, did they look similar?

There are about 15 versions of the A10. Sign in to MSN if you can and I'll try and track down the right one.

No other screws on it at all - the rest simply popped off when I used a thin flat blade along the edge.

Mark, on MSN now

And the service manual (re-hosted as I had to fettle with it a bit first)...

(the job you're doing is on the last page)
