80k...im hoping that if i replace a load of stuff on it, it'll run for aaaages again. i really love the car, and it'll take quite a lot before i quit on it.

You've replaced the cam so it should be good for ages yet. There's a REALLY good mechanic who specialises in mx5s he helped with the turbo conversion for me - he's based in West London - might be worth looking him up?

if much more goes wrong with it, i might have to give him a call. so far, it's only been relatively small stuff though so i'm not too bothered. have you got his name/number?
