Just a thought
Thats a fantastic idea our kids have one from Iain's parents and can add to it whenever we want.

Okie Stan - Bare with me for a few moments... I'm trying to find the webby for it.

When we were in Rudesheim (Germany) they had THE MOST GORGEOUS hand carved toys/musical toy boxes and all sorts. They were beautiful and well .... although they were for kiddies adults would buy them too (I did ) Not cheap but not too expensive... they did a whole shop dedicated to the nutcracker and... yeh one minute, I'll find it.... you have to see it!

*searches/calls ma and pa*

Right! Found it!

Kathe Wohlfahrt

This place is AMAZING! The stuff they do is phenomenal and the quality is out of this world! Really gorgeous, very personal and somewhat different gifts!

A lot of it is Christmas themed as that is what Rudesheim specializes in, but if you want something very special I think a Christmas ornament/musical box or something of the like would be perfect as it would be used with love every year and in thought of you at a very wonderful time of year (I'm such a sop!)

My parents bought my sisters baby a cuckoo clock from here... similar to this one I think:

As an example of what they do here's some items:

This below is what they call a "pyramid"! They're SO AMAZING - when the wind catches them/you turn the top all of the parts move and it looks beautiful! This one is a more complex model but the simple ones are gorgeous too! (*warning* they tend to range between 600 - 3000 euros!)

More simple one:

Their musical boxes are supremely stunning - I have a small one for christmas and I love it so much! Here's a few of them:

They also do the nutcrackers as mentioned above (though they do look a little scary!):

Other stuff includes ornaments and wooden christmas decorations (of which I purchased a few of as they're superb!)

I hope you like the webby! It's superb and well... just that little bit different!

Only problem is, they may take 1 - 2 weeks to come. My parents said the delivery was surpisingly quick though and packaged amazingly!
