Default New phone dilemma

Well I'm up for a new contract soonish and I was looking around at new phones.

I quite like the HTC Touch and to some extent the Touch Dual but I'm not sure if I'd miss the full keyboard that I've got on my current phone (Vodafone 1605, TyTn and whatever else it was called).

I know I don't use most of the functions from the 1605 and was thinking about going back to a bit more of a phone based phone than a full Pocket PC type one.

Anyone with good things to say about certain handsets or experience with the Touch/Touch Dual (I know they're still quite Pocket PCish but I like the look of them )

Thanks in advance and I promise I won't get a Moto.

I have a Compact II and had the touch been around on T-Mobile when I renewed, I would have got one of those. I did get really rather cross with WM5 but having gone back to a "normal" phone now (K800i) I really miss many of the features.

If you dont want a "normal" phone then go for it (or similar) but if you use any of the features that your current phone offers you might feel a little restricted.

Vario 3 for me when it's upgrade time.
WM6 is a lot better than its predecessor and the later Vario has a little more under the bonnet to help things run more smoothly too.

Does anyone have an HTC Touch as I've had another look at it and they look good

Just need to know if there's and experience of them floating around the BD world

Thanks

DRZ look into nokia symbian 60 phones, theyre smartphones without the annoying drawbacks of most WM5/6 phones i find. Ive all buy given up with Windows Mobile, call me back when they finally get round to gestures et all in WM7 in 2009 then i'll think about it...
