Default Wine Recommendation

OK, Here we are - a couple of wine recommendations for me:

Firstly, this one might upset the apple-cart a bit:

Asda Extra Special Beaujolais Villages ~£4

Yes, its a supermarket own brand and yes, its in a screw-cap bottle but for a "cheap" red its SUPERB. Really, really drinkable and light. Perfect if you have something delicate that requires a subtle wine but still needs a red. Lovely even without food and I could even see me drinking this outside on a summers evening.

Georges Doboeuf Fleurie ~£9

Another Beaujolias, bit more expensive this one and a bit heavier but still really good. I know that this house has had a bit of a problem in the past couple of years with breaking some laws in France but the wine is still good It even has a cork

Michele Laroche Chablis St Martin ~£9

A really excellent white. Generally speaking, I dislike white wines but this really blew me away when I tasted it for the first time. Completely converted to this and would recommend that if you are considering a fruity white to go with some fish or white meat dishes that you give this one a try. I certainly really enjoyed it
