Best Free Video and still editing package?

Hello all

I took some video and stills from a go karting event I went to last night for the sales teams.

I thought that there would be no point having them if I couldn't do a little bit of a showreel

I did editing before at uni (now a long time ago!) but we used a program called Media100 on a mac *spits*

and now I'm not sure what is the best thing to use?

Also any ideas of a track that I could use to illustrate it would be great.

iMovie for the Mac

Spit all you want, its the best thing for what you want at the price you want

I don't have a mac and I'm not getting paid for this work and doing it in my own time, which doesn't justify paying out for a Mac.

Well we can get you video editing software, not sure how "free" it is though

Oh thanks that would be brill! As soon as you can? Wanted to get the video completed by 1st May which is the end of year Sales meeting

does someone near you not have one you could use?
creating a DVD takes like NO time at all on the Mac.. including stills, menus and soundtracks.
I would lend you mine, if you lived closer.
