Gladiators

So while visiting friends in Manc (Paul and Amy) we watched the first show of the new gladiators.

It wasn't too bad but I think they are going to have to improve the audience interaction a bit more. We were also playing "spot who the new gladiator is trying to emulate from the old gladiators", the most obvious one being Oblivion trying to be the new Wolf (and failing).

Also turns out that Diane Youdale (aka Jet) goes to the same gym as Amy

Anyone else watch it?

Didn't even know it had started (knew it was soon).

Lack of Sky here, so I need to acquire a copy from somewhere at some point. Been watching old repeats on Challenge and Virgin 1 lately though

We spent a fair bit of time watching repeats as well as the "A-Z" and other interviewy type things while we were up there

Amy had been saying she hadn't seen Diane at the gym for a couple of weeks and we pointed out it was probably because she was doing all these tv things in the prep of the new show.

cos of her red hair. Most of the girls don't look like bodybuilders... more like extras from FHM.

Funny to see Scorpio on that Glamour Girls programme.

That's all I can say about Gladiators atm apart from its pants that its on Sky and not at least a Freeview channel

I enjoyed the first one of the new series, we sat and watched it as a family after having a bbq last weekend and me necking gallons of beer.

That is something I noticed having watches loads of the repeats - the contestants never use to be caked in make up but they did seem to be in the new show

It was quite obvious that the lass who won was military from the way that she handled the assault course. Me and my mate both commented that is would be a damn good advertisment for the army etc to select some superfit soldiers and put them on there as a kind of Join The Army and beat the Gladiators type thing
