Blaster.... haven't seen that for a while- were they installed with XP SP2? Being a worm any machine that hasn't been patched and doesnt have a firewall is at risk of infection purely by being connected to the internet

Last time I got a virus I was down the gum clinic to be honest.

Only times Ive had a problem with my pc has been when I've ran something dodgey or deleted something I shouldn't have.

Yep both machines hadn't any AV nor update since ever..
