AARRRGGHHH!!!! I'm in a bad mood

Was showing someone the MR2 earlier when I noticed that some crappity smacktard has scraped one of the rear arches at some point during our travels over the last week or so.

I've been racking my brains trying to work out when it happened (not that knowing will help or make me feel any better about it). I'm pretty sure it would have been at the services we stopped at on the way betwen our camping holiday and the BBQ meet.

Don't suppose anyone had a sneaky look over my car at the weekend and noticed any marks did they? I'll get the camera out tomorrow as well as the T-Cut and post some before and after pics up once I've tried to tidy it up best I can.

I didn't see anything obvious and did check out your MR2 quite a bit (I love the tent hook! ). Sorry I can't be of any more use...

I'll admit to having a crafty look at your motor. I didn't see any marks on your wheel arches.

Exactly the same thing happened to my motor a while back, got dents in both rear wheel arches due to some smacktard not being able to drive. Gotta get them done but it'll only happen again as I have to park in public car parks. Again the car now has scratches and paint chips purely due to other numpties, it was spotless when I got it

I understand your anger very well, both of my motors have had damage done to them due to other people.

Its really annoying and all I can do is hope that they damaged their car too. But its obviously not their pride and joy if they drive it like that in the first place

I'm poop at parking so I know not to attempt spaces I'm unsure about, other people should maybe take that advice too.

Its really noticeable now that we know its there but I don't know if general onlookers would have noticed it - you have to get down to its level and that was quite difficult at the meet due to the tight parking. We think it was done on the way to the meet as we were near the car during our holiday and I'm sure we would have noticed it then. It definately wasn't done at the meet as the car didn't move, and no one moved at that side of us. And we only stopped once on the way home and there was no cars next to us when we left the car or when we got back.

Hmph. So much needed doing to the car anyway and this just adds to the list now.

The arch itself is fine, it must have been a really fine contact as they haven't even managed to remove paint all the way down to the metal which is a relief as I can afford to ignore it for a while without worrying about the whole arch rusting away.

Had a quick go with the T-Cut and managed to remove their paint, just need to get a touch up pen and cover up the spots where it's gone through to the primer and it'll do for now. It's just another thing to add to the list of reasons for wanting a full respray (which I can't really afford!)

As I found it:

After T-Cutting:

Will - Glad the tent peg is appreciated, it was my first mod carried out as a 'temporary' measure when one of the mounting brackets snapped off on holiday last June!
