Talking Ahoy!! We're Sinking, We're Sinking!

Our whole kitchen floor is flooded!

I've always wanted an indoor swimming pool but this isn't quite how I envisaged it!

And in a poor attempt to save Trio and I from drowning, I have mopped up what I can and played with the plumbing!

I am now covered in gunge and drenched!

Pickys not home until late late tonight either!

Oooh deario!

Hahahaha!

*thinks she has a looooooooooong day ahead of her*

My theory: The pipe things are blocked past the U bend thingy as loads of water backfired up through the sink when the washing machine was emptying (I was blissfully unaware of this for sometime!). They're all attached to eachother so somethings not happening!

JeN! You have my welly bootys! When I see you next weekend (although it will be a little too late) would you mind bringing them along?! Hehehehe!

Well.

I could always make good of the bad.

*turns up the heating* Pool party anyone?!

Whoops! You need to ring up a plumber stating "I need a man to fix my plumbing"

It may seem odd but be thankful. On Monday I opened the front door to find something floating outside. I was a wimp though and immediately went to the yellow pages and got a guy out to sort it.

Oddly... no blockages in the pipes. Some gungey stuff but on the outside - nothing major.

*hmmmm*

Father in law to be briefly popped over to see if he can help and he's puzzled by it too!

He's just had to do a runner but has help me piece it back up... although there's a right bend thingy that won't screw up tight anymore so I will have to get a replacement for that! Can't test the flow until I've got that bit replaced but checked if it would when it was all apart (poured water down the pipe to the outside) and it all flowed.

What a nonsical mess!!

Hahahahaha! Oh dear!

My christ it's blooooooooming cold! hehehe!

Any of the pipes lead outside? If so they could have frozen causing it to back up. Had this happen at home, except instead of backing up the boiler kept switching off not good when it's below freezing outside

A whole day... oooooooone whoooooooooole day.... has been dedicated to this.

I have managed to take apart and put back together all the piping under the sink about a gazillion times (ok, 3) and I've scrubbed them all.

Whilst all the pipes were out except the one that goes outside, I poured water down it and it flowed through without a problem.

Put it all back together again, try the tap, it backs up.

First time:
"Hahaha... stoopid pipes! Must have missed something!"
*pulls it all apart again*

Second time:

"Heh... it should work now!"
*turns on tap... waits*
"Nope... nope it doesn't. Eh? Did I screw something back on wrong?"
*heads back under the sink*

Third time:

"Right. I'm leaving off the washing machine pipe to see whether it flows past that... yup it does... oh wait.. wait it's coming back up through the pipe"
*puts hand over open pipe hole*
"Erm... I can't reach the tap... oh ****... erm... erm... sugar the sinks filling up... erm erm..."
*lets go, water goes everywhere, grabs tap, hand goes back on hole... but the sinks still half full of water*

"Well done me. Now... how'd I get out of this situatioN?"

I ended up lying on the floor (in a puddle of water), with my hand still covering the pipe and my body contorted out of the cupboard whilst I attempted to grab my sink container with my toes. It was on the floor on the other side of the kitchen.

After muchos scrapling and silly tennis ball serving like grunts, I managed to reach it Although I did forget that the water would spray everywhere when I lifted my hand off the hole and not just neatly pour into the bowl below.

Good news though! I'm dry now! And the sink... for some reason... semi flows.

Just lobbed a load of sink/pipe/drain blockage stuff down the plug and am letting it do it's stuff. Hopefully that'll make the blasted thing work

*am dead proud*

Heh! Yay!

Though I feel like I've grown chest hairs with this task! RAGH!

Reminds me of the time our toilet broke so I fixed it with some string and elastic bands

Hehehehe!
