Knackered phone - any hope?
I left my phone on the worktop next to the draining board a few months ago and unfortunately the draining board overflowed and knackered my phone. I didn't discover it until a few hours later, by which time it was dead.
I dried it out completely and have tried charging it up, but it's dead as a do do. Is it worth me even trying a new battery or do you think the phone has had it? It's a Nokia 5610. Nothing flash, but it's better than the K800i that I've had to go back to. Boo

I wouldn't say it's worth spending money on, but it might be worth asking around if anyone has a compatible battery you could borrow. Be careful though as you don't want to kill a borrowed battery (e.g. don't try charging).
If a phone is going to work after a dunking, it'll usually just work after a few days' drying out. Sometimes it'll work a after a few weeks. Usually after that, it's done. |
