I didn't think about this before but as your employer there is probably quite a bit of liability against them as they supplied you with excess amounts of alcohol on company premises. The fact that it's a bar/club shouldn't make any difference.

Could have been something to look into if they had given you the chop.

Nah if they had given me the chop i would have said fair enough, no point arguing my way back into an awkward work situation after 2 shifts. Only for them to find a real reason to fire me the next week whilst i'm still on probation
