Vodafone rant
Had a call from Vodafone last week telling me I'm due an upgrade for my business mobile. After some haggling with them I got them to agree a Nokia 5800 for free. Got into work Friday morning and had an email waiting for me from the guy I was speaking to confirming the upgrade and that I would recieve the phone on either the 17th or 18th of this month.
Fast forward to today and still no phone and no return phone calls from the guy in retentions who I was speaking to originally. Gave up and rang Vodafone directly and spoke to a lovely Irish lass who informed me that there was nothing on my account about the upgrade so after being put on hold a couple of times while she checked it out she told me they could send the phone out tonight and would send it to my house for delivery tomorrow Told my boss about all this and he's now waiting for a phonecall back from Vodafone so he can complain about the moron I originally spoke to. Tempted to write a letter or email to Vodafone head office and put in an official complaint and an official letter of praise for the girl that helped me out. |

Vodafone Business are a shower of ****e. Vodafone Corporate are superb, it's hard to believe they're part of the same company.

That was our experience too. We ended up with O2 Business in the end. The Vodafone agent who was supposed to be setting up our account kept going AWOL and generally nothing was happening. After a 45 minute discussion about contracts and usage packages to finally try and get it setup and confirmed (after several false starts) my boss agreed to one and gave all the details for them. We were supposed to be up and running in 2-3 business days. 5 days later, no letters, no e-mails, and unsurprisingly, no handsets/SIMs. Phoned them up, no record of anything. My boss just said "You know what, forget I called, you're good at that"

The phone didn't turn up on Saturday and no phone call either. Called them this morning only to be told that they didn't have any in stock and wouldn't till Tuesday/Wednesday time. When the boss came in, he called them and threatened to take all the mobile business to someone else if he didn't get a call within 24 hours from someone with Authority in regards to this.
Utter shower of poop. I would have completely understood had they said they didn't have any in when I phoned them, but to be repeatedly told they were sending a phone out really annoyed me. |

Given that HQ is within two miles of where I'm sitting right now, it's a real shame I can't go down there and cause a scene. I suspect I might get arrested if I tried.

I am actually half tempted to pop into the nearest Vodafone shop and see if they have any handests available and try and get one from them. Would be quicker and easier than talking to them over it.
