I know it's not the same, but I had a friend who was a compulsive liar and stole some money from me.

I'd spoken to his family (the few that hadn't disowned him) and we arranged an intervention meeting.

If I were you I'd try and say something. But I know how hard it can be to do that

She's gone now and I probably won't see her again until a parental pops off this mortal coil. Or maybe summer when my Dad is 60, although we're not talking either lol!

Funny how you think your family is quite normal until you REALLY think about it, then you realise what a disfunctional band of weirdos you really are.

You know your sister better than of us really, but I would have cooly asked her for the money back and tell her that if she's short, she only needs to ask and you'll help her out, but if she takes it, it will be taken back. If it's spent before you find out, you'll take an item off her of value, to get it into her head you don't just take things.

^^ This.

I know it's not the same but when my sister was little she was always nicking stuff from me (like chocolate, toys, etc) so whenever she did, I took something of hers for a day (like her favourite teddy or something). She didn't get the message until I decapitated one of her barbie dolls in front of her

But if you stopped writing about other things and made this your signature, yours could be like mine.
Look down, back up. Where are you?
You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like.
I'm on a computer.

Yeap, I used to laugh at those kind of issues whenever they appeared on soap operas...but years later...

If it was my brother I'd confront him no question. But then subconciously we know not to do that kind of thing to one another, even outside of moral guidelines. I guess it helps that we were quite close as kids and have grown an immense amount of mutual respect.

Edit: That made it sound like we'd steal from anyone else! What I meant was, we know it's wrong to steal, but to steal from each other would have far-reaching implications outside the norm.
