Default How bullies are dealt with round here

Spotted a hawk in the garden eating what I presume is a pigeon, judging by the carnage in the background. Obviously the local blackbirds didn't take kindly to this and tried to muscle him out, all the time chirping like hell!

Tried to take pics but it was just too far away and too low light to capture anything decent, but the vid at least shows a nice bit of dive-bombing. Eventually he gets pissed off and hightails it out of there with the leftovers, pursued by the angry mob.

2mins ~140MB. I'm sure someone could edit it to something much smaller but I just don't have the energy this evening. Crashed my QT player but started up OK in VLC.

LOL! Nature at its finest.

My parents had a hawk attack a pigeon in their back garden over easter. Didn't get chased off either so had what seemed like half an hour to enjoy the meal (and make one hell of a mess).
