New section for my blog

In an effort to force myself to keep my blog updated, I've started a new section entitled "Things I've learned this week". The intention is to make a list of anything I find interesting that I learn through the week and publish it to the blog.

If anybody has any interesting facts they would like to share with me, please feel free to send them to me. If I find them interesting and didn't know before, I'll publish them.

I learn today that the fear of Friday the 13th is paraskevidekatriaphobia

I haven't however managed to learn how to pronounce it properly

Alpha Centauri is our nearest system and is 4 LY away.To gauge interstellar distances, if our sun was the size of a grain of sand and Alpha Centauri was the same size, they would be 5 miles apart.
