Talking Dictionary.com Awesomeness

I know I don't post much but saw this and thought it would appeal to the BD crews sense of humour

Googles Word of the Day:

Mithridate: A confection believed to contain an antidote to every poison.

Dictionary.coms example of how to use the word Mithridate in a sentence:

"Elizabeth had listened with half an ear while she tried to spoon the mithridate between Margaret's flaccid lips."

Ahahahaha! Poor Margaret! How they managed to get a quote in with the words "flaccid lips" and "spoon" is just sheer genius!

lol

Sounds more like something out of a soft porn novel. I want to say Catherine Cookson for some reason but seeing as I don't read I've probably got totally the wrong type of author.

Another classic:

Googles Word of The Day

Lilliputian: Extremely Small; Tiny; Diminutive.

Dictionary.coms Example of Use

A low fence surrounded the gash, but given the length and width and depth of this trench, the fence seemed Lilliputian , feeble.

-- Lewis Buzbee, The Haunting of Charles Dickens
