We have single glazing and sash windows in an old tenemant. I am freezing all the time, we now have a duvet in the livingroom because otherwise I complain too much

Remarkably not cold at all at my parents. Admittedly I'm lucky in that I don't normally feel the cold much anyway but this year they seem to have the heating sorted and it's very warm indeed - might be something to do with them getting older.

a new good gas boiler with large wall radiators in every room and surprisingly double glazing. there must literally be no insulation and the highest U-value windows they could buy. Would love to see a thermal image of our house.

I actually have the window open, and I can honestly say I'm not cold at all. Could really do with the weather staying like this.
