Default Anyone seen...

Grave of the fireflies?

It's anime and looks quite good to me. Seriously considering buying it from play.com.

Is it any good and worth £6.99?

Seen it, disliked it, and I usually like Anime. It's slow, boring, depressing and doesn't really tell that much of an interesting story.

I've not seen it myself but I'm told by a couple of friends it's very sad, however they did say that it is a good film. It should be noted that they love anything Studio Ghibli though so for anyone else it might be slightly less brilliant.

I enjoy watching anime films, and I've been informed that the ones I rate higher than others are studio ghibli, so I think I'll give it a chance

The Ghibili greats for me are directed by Hayao Miyazaki, those are the memorable ones, so if you haven't seen any of the following I'd be getting them first

Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Castle in the SkyMy Neighbour Totoro
Howl's Moving Castle
Kiki's Delivery Service
Porco Rosso
Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea

followed by

Whisperer of the Heart
Cat Returns
Tales of Earthsea

Those are the ones I know I've specifically seen. I've watched 'My Neighbour Totoro' so many times, I love the cat bus. And 'Kiki's Delivery Service'.

I think I need to save up and go on a dvd spending spree online!
