It's sky time again soon!!
Totally nearly missed a meteorite shower last week - it was by sheer fluke I camped outside that evening and saw a handful! Yay! Maybe my body is in tune with when to sleep under the stars!
Slightly early heads up for the next lot! May 6th - Late Evening to Early Morning will be the Eta Aquarid meteor shower! It's a bit unpredictable how many there will be per hour as they come from the remainder trail from Halley's Comet so can be high density or scattered! I remember this was one of my first meteorite showers I ever watched with my Pa and it was stupendous!! I was seeing one every couple of minutes and they would go the whole length of the sky and burn so brightly!! And yet I think a few years back my Pa said there were hardly any! Swings and roundabouts! Anyways, to be looking to the East - around the Aquarius constellation. Best show (rumour has it) is early morning before dawn. I'm a camper outside so if it's a clear night will be sleeping in my garden Enjoy folks Yaaaaaay |

Pity it weren't tonight as it's crispy clear out there with full view of the sky.
