Whilst they say all publicity is good publicity, I'm not sure this can be seen a good publicity at all IF it were true. Of course it will be forgotten in a couple of weeks, it's not THAT important and that's the nature of the beast. Hell, people have even stopped talking about the mysterious Bin Laden death. I still think it makes for an interesting read and none of it would surprise me at all if it were true.

To be honest, wouldn't be surprised if it was all true - and to be even more honest I couldn't care less.

It happens all the time in every aspect of life where "preferred" people are put forward and chosen beforehand for a multitude of things.

It's only the fact that crap like this is put on TV now that everyone gets to see it for what it is. And the only reason it's on TV is so that people can make some easy money from it in the first place.

Isn't that part of the point though? This is meant to be light hearted entertainment, and the general public still can't trust what is going on? I can understand it in business but this isn't supposed to be that serious is it?

Yes, mysterious. Burried at sea, changing stories from the US, photos of Obama and Co. that turned out to be staged? There were loads of questions and theories when it first happened and now it's gone, you see nor hear any of it. Forgotten.

Was just pointing out that all news stories get forgotten pretty quickly, even serious ones.

I wish some of them would be forgotten quicker - sometimes I look at the news and cannot believe the media manages to drag out such non-stories for weeks!

The anonymous 'record executive' who claimed that 'Britain's Got Talent' star Ronan Parke was already signed to Simon Cowell's label SyCo has reportedly apologised and admitted making up the allegations.

It's being claimed that the blogger suffered from bipolar disorder and published the article after becoming obsessed with the show.

“I am deeply ashamed,” they reportedly wrote in another blog. “I would like to offer my sincerest apologies for the distress and hurt I've caused.”

The claims were made the week before Parke lost out to Jai McDowall in the 'Britain's Got Talent' final.

It comes after news that the police have dropped their inquiry into the blog post, amid speculation that it was a publicity stunt to boost the ratings of the show.

“It was made to us as [a complaint about] malicious communication,” said a Scotland Yard spokesperson. “Malicious communication is a genuine complaint. It is a crime.

“To be honest, it seems as if everyone's making a big song and dance about this. Heaven forbid somebody would do something like this for publicity.”
