I watch the film on Wednesday at my local Odeon, and it was a great film.
Much darker, bit more gritty, more grown up than the other HP films. Plus there was plenty of clues to what might be happening next !

I'm listening to the talking book at the moment and strangely got to the point where the film ended just before I saw the film, which was quite handy.
I've just realised something: Spoiler Alert! - Highlight below to read! I wondered what the big deal was about the shot of Bellatrix's hair landing on Hermione - then realised they need to for the Polyjuice potion later. But why do you think they haven't used the invisibility cloak yet? It seems important as it's part of the Hallows.... End Spoiler Alert!

Finally got round to watching it last night. Twas good, the only thing that was slightly disappointing for me is the lack of "Aaaarrggghhhhh this isn't bloody fair, why is all this stuff happening" rage from Harry. I always imagined him getting a lot more cross when I read the book. Dan Radcliffe just seemed to bumble through it without any kind of madness decending on him. Heck even Ron got more angry than Harry did.
Am still looking forward to July. |

So I decided to go see Part 2, having not seen Part 1. As it happened, it didn't matter. I'm sure it would have been even better had I seen more, but I knew enough to 'get' the story and found it all very enjoyable.
[rant] I just can't believe a cinema can justify charging nearly £4 for a drink, the ingredients for which cost pennies. What a joke - I'll try to remember to bring my own next time. :/ [/rant] |

I didn't have any popcorn, or any other sweets. The drink mugging was enough, thanks!

Went to go watch HP recently too. May have been an overindulgence of choccies resulting in a ridiculous sugar high but I spent most of the time giggling. For example - opening scene shows some rather ragged looking dementors floating around the school. I immediately lean over and say to hubby "friggen moths!". This has us and the line of Canadians behind us in fits of laughter. Not to mention the children at the end...
All in all a damned good movie. Now I can go read the books and criticize the movies horribly.
