If a text message goes in the drafts and wasn't sent for whatever reason, is there a simple way to forward it on.
If you go in the drafts and hit send again, it sends a blank text, I can go in and copy and paste it and then send it, but is there a more straightforward way? |

I sent Mum a picture message yesterday, she received the file, but when she clicks on download, nothing happens, it just sits there and says downloading.
It was sent from my phone (iphone) to her Samsung. Any idea why it isn't working like it should? |

She hasnt paid for any data no (i've told her to just do it) but is using the wifi at home. She had MMS on her old phone and its the same number and everything, just a new phone. I've been in the MMS settings, and I can't see anything that should be turned on that isn't.

you need a mobile data connection to receive mms, I.e. 3g.

mobile data needs to be activated and set up properly, like kitten says, you only retrieve them through mobile data (not a wifi network). How operators bill you is up to them, but instead of charging data they normal charge a set amount per message (20/30p - which is ironically usually much more than the messages cost in data).
I think you need to tell you mum she needs to be a little more flexible in spending money PAYG with a smartphone if she wants to actually use it "smartly", or get a cheap contract. You'd castrate any phone by playing around like this Talkmobile who i'm with now do £8 (and £1!) per month contracts, (monthly rolling and just 6 months in total!). That will give her 1000texts 300mins and 500mb to play with which sounds like she won't use over the course of 6 months anyway! |
