Default More bad apples in the Police service

OK, blatant selection of topics due to the membership here, but...

Just been in the local news (very local as it happens - I've had dealings with officers from the station in question). I'm not going to take the 'bait', but I'm sure a lot will.

I would like to know more about the case before I reply.

What I will say is that a lad in the job I know know was suspended for over a year, convicted at court of assault and told he faced jail.

He then appealed and 3 appeal Judges quashed his conviction saying he used reasonable force during an arrest and this matter should never have reached court in the first place.

He is now back at work after a nightmare year. These things are rarely as they read.

I'll keep looking as I've not found much yet. The official line doesn't say any more...
