Having spent the afternoon coding to find my site didn't work quite right in IE, that smiley is sooooooooooo fitting. Crazy ass browser. FF, Opera, Safari were spot on. IE went off like it'd been smoking crack.

IE always.. Everytime I hear people having explorer problems, they are using FF.. So what's the benefit of FF over IE?

Cross platform support, more complete CSS support, published source code, can make any modifications you want to it either through the source or through extensions, at one time tabbed browsing (a TDI is now pretty much a standard requirement of a browser, and I dont think it's unfair to say that's down to FF), arguably better security in a sand boxed browser which has a smaller market share.
Of course, they're only benefits if you need or use them.

That's a pretty subjective statement. I've never had Firefox crash on me since 1.5.x (we're now on 2.0.x), but then, I dont use many extensions either.

![]() ![]() I haven't tried oSync myself, so i don't know if it syncs everything (i think it may lack cookies) but it looks damn close to the google browser sync. Also Opera is an MDI as opposed to the TDI firefox/IE7 interface. I didn't realise it until the other day but its really annoying for me now not to have a *real* MDI program! |
