There were some actual "jokes" further into the video but yeah some of it was just extracting the urine of an exaggerated accent but then I've seen Billy Connolly do that kind of thing to an english accent and I've been equally as amused as I was by this

i just wanted to explain why i didn't find it funny, as it looks like i'm in the minority!

(it's a nice example - but i doubt billy connolly was taking the mic of the english accent when the english were still looking to do scotland some serious damage... that's been over for quite a while now!)

Maybe thats part of it - I can watch it without drawing views from current world politics - to me it would be amusing even if our countries were best buddies

the way i see it is, if it's not about the politics - then it's just a man, a dummy, and a silly accent...
i'm sure when it comes to light that 'men with puppets' are funny again - keith harris and orville will be reeeeeally pleased!

I wish I could fly... *BANG*

Sorry Feek, have your gun back.

Anyway, while I can see why some people would make the connection to muslims, I saw it as poking fun at terrorists, and I have no objection to that.

It does make the assumption that ALL terrorists are muslims though. Which is obviously complete crap, as most aren't.

I saw it as a bit of tasteless humour but funny nonetheless. I probably have the closest ties to the middle east than anyone else on here but I still found it fun. If I took myself and things around me more seriously than I'd agree that I'd be a bit narked off by that - but to me that was just a bit of topical piss taking - nothing that ANY other comedian doesn't already do. Look at black comedians, jewish ones, gay, straight, generally ****ed up, irish, scottish, american - when are they EVER PC!? And FFS there's far too much PC bull**** going on anyway we need to kick back and be able to take the piss out of ourselves as a race no? (By that I mean the human race as I don't believe there are different "races" - there aren't, we are ONE race - human.). If we know where we're coming from (which most intelligent people do) then how things can be misinterpreted are solely down to people that feel they need to make a point or deliberation about things for the sake of it.

What was funny was his interaction with the ventriloquist and the crowd, the eye movements and the facial expressions and general banter - it was just fun.

As the one that posted it i will say this;
I didn't for one minute think about the Muslim tie. I've always enjoyed a decent Ventriloquist ever since a kid & i just thought he was Funny.
His Walter act is just as funny/good.
Anything that makes me laugh is nice to post & share & this was just another pass on the joke moment.

as i posted above, ignoring the political implications (which i am aware a lot of people will do) it is just a man with a puppet
i wasn't in any way offended by the video, i just didn't find it funny - my sense of humour obviously isn't drawn to ventriloquism (bad ventriloquism especially!)

but i always wonder in what way the people who write sketches like this mean them to be taken
if he came out and said 'it's a blatant pee take of people of middle eastern origin' would people still find it as funny?

i like no brainer comedy, but stuff like this makes me ponder more than it makes me laugh!
