Taxi and Les Visiteurs are both films which I highly rate

Most people have heard of them though as they were both remade by Hollywood, the former with Queen Latifah, the latter with the original cast (:s). The original french versions are far superior though

In fact, I think Brotherhood of the Wolf could be added to that list... Another French film! Albeit a werewolf one

And going with werewolf films, the Ginger Snaps trilogy is an excellent series of films following the escapades of two teenage girls and their adventures into lycanthropy

One might not believe it, but one of my favourite films that always raises a "EH!?!" amongst a group of people is Withnail & I.

Richard E Grant, Richard Griffiths, Paul McGann and some of the most unexpected and hillarious scripting to come out of British cinematography- I love it, but dare not attempt the infamous drinking game associated with it!

One of my top ten favourite films that. Love it.

Kung-Fu Panda

Perfect family film. Great story, great characters with beautifully captured personalities, and loads of brilliant high-speed action bits full of comedy as well as violence! This would have made a great regular martial arts movie if they'd removed some of the more slapstick elements, the story is that good.

Only loses marks for over-labouring the point that the panda is fat and clumsy. We get it. I don't need to see him catching his breath yet again or running into another wall.

9/10

This thread feels far too blokey...

One of my all time favourite favourite favourite films is Jack and Sarah, hardly any of my friends had seen or even heard of it... until I got it on DVD and educated them all!!! It was released in '95 and stars Richard E Grant, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen and a very cute baby!

Love it!!!

I'm a bit meh about Jack and Sarah, Pump Up The Volume is a classic though!
