What the **** is what.

I aint got a clue, what are the sizes, I have short fingers so is their a close guitar setup, my mate said you need long fingers to be a decent guitarist, I don't just to string some notes along and pass the time, I want a drum kit but I am a proper pauper so I can dream about something like that till this recession is over.

I can turn my hand to anything, but never got into anything musical apart from the farcical was high school, I would probably

I don't have a budget, so if you **** can send my one that would be great but I can, no...will....not.... its life to spend on the CC.

Okay, dude, in all seriousness as a guitarist I've still no clue what exactly you're asking.

What are you looking for, electric or acoustic? What do you want to do with it?
Finger length has nothing significant to do with playing guitar. Sure freakishly long fingers a la Jimmy Hendrix would be superb, but is far from necessary.

Best thing to do is head down to a decent guitar shop and ask the guys there. They'll be able to point you in the right direction to suit budget constraints.
If you're in the south-east then consider Guitar, Amp and Keyboard in Brighton.

As with Garps post- try and give us some more to go on if you can

Are you looking for an Electric/Acoustic setup? Do you have desires to just chill out and play some bluesy tunes or look to achieve some of your favourite songs ?

I wouldn't worry about your fingers- They will learn to stretch to the frets/notes you think are impossible to start with - The best advice I can give is enjoy yourself when you play/mess about/jam. When it becomes hassle or not fun then put it down and come back another time.

I started off with a 2nd hand electric one of these -

It was fun, cheap enough to try and allowed me to fiddle with the basics until I splashed out on my first new guitar:

This was a great buy, and I started to really see the quality of my purchase shine through as I began to enjoy playing even more, whilst gaining (some) skill...

Then when jamming with some homeless dude (that's another story) I found a real draw to the acoustic sound: Having tried what seemed like a hundred acoustics I picked up this :

and it was perfect

I only seem to play acoustic now, it's relaxing, fun, very social and my eleccies gather dust on their cases atop the cupboard!

I have it on good authority that Mr Garpington Bear is quite swish on the ol' string plucking so if you can pull together a bit more of an idea to what you want to pursue then I'm sure we could all help you out between us

Get a ukulele, I'm not sure what you're problem is but I reckon a uke should solve it.
