Hairy Tongues
I've googled and found no explanation.
How do dogs manage to lick their coats et al and not end up with a super dooper hairy tongues? I know kitty cats get furballs and hack em up... but never have I seen our dawggy do such a thing. *confused.com* |

bakez is right
It's why you're also recommended to brush dogs regularly to sort their coats out wheras cats can do it themselves

I forgot to respond to this thread! Doh!
Smooth vs Sticky tongue eh?! I've actually written to Focus (Science mag) now for the rather pointless question (figured I wanted a bit more of an in depth sciencey explanation). If cats tongues are sticky... and dawgs are smooth... what are humans?! Annnd if cats have the sticky tongues... why?!!? And why do doggies have smooth tongues?! I was playing with Trio the other day and "gnawing" her leg and I ended up with a hairy mouth. Boo. It's just one of those niggly things I cannot figure out for myself so turned to google and that failed me so I came to the wise men (and laaaaaaaaadies) of BD. Thank you for your answers! If focus get back to me, I shall inform you of their response |
