Does one have to use the Amazon Downloader to buy music from Amazon? I'm not sure I like the thought of that.

For albums you do, for single tracks you don't.

Its not that much an hassle, I hated it at first but now i don't notice it. It is like a plugin for Firefox.

There's no DRM on amazon music is there? Just want to confirm as it's very tempting.

Agreed. It put my back up at first but once it's installed it's not realy any bother.
It configures itself for IE though. So when you first use it look for the link that says 'click here to use with this browser' or words to that effect if you use FF or Opera.
