Converting a 50MB .mov

Can anyone suggest the best way of showing a 50MB video (.mov) format on a web page?

I'm happy to convert it to another format if that's even possible but what do I use and what format should I select for a video served over from a web site?

Is uploading to youtube and embedding not an option? Would save you a hell of a lot of bandwidth and then you know 99% of browsers will be able to view it.

I've had to convert a few mov files of the baby to upload on Facebook recently, WinAVI Video Converter worked a treat, reduced it from a 70 MB mov to a 11 MB avi file.

Hadn't thought of YouTube! I'll ask my client what they think but I do wonder about the quality though.

I'll give that WinAVI a go
