My father's after something like this:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...HDMI+Upscaling And for the price it seems pretty good. He doesn't want to spend a monkey on it really. What do you guys reckon?

Tbh you can get dvd#s for a couple of quid a pop. How many does he have? by the time he buys the converter and the blank dvd's he could of got 50 dvds.
Unless he has several hundred just rebuy. oh is it home made stuff? I'm sure you could connect a video player up to a computer with a video in on teh gx card and use some software to capture and burn it.
