Thumbs up Experimenting with slow shutter speeds...

... and a torch

All were taken in a blacked out room at ISO400, f/5.6, and shutter speeds between 1 and 3 seconds.

I used auto focus to select the bit I wanted in focus, and then swiched to MF so the camera wouldnt be hunting for a focus point in the dark Once I released the shutter, I gave the subject a quick burst with the torch, was quite fun

1 - Ignore the watermark, its going in the 365 is all

2 - No vignetting used at all!

I didnt want crit on these pics, as I know there are loads of things wrong with them, just getting you all to try something similar

I have thought about light painting just haven't go around to it yet, I'm sure I will though, that and forced bokeh are both on my list

The flower is gorgeous like that - maybe you could do a series of 3 different flowers/colours or something for a print?
