Nice lens that, I'm looking at upgrades but that on is beyond my budget and I need something a bit wider, but as you have the 10-20 your covered there .
Very tempted with the 17-55mm 2.8 IS or the 17-40mm f4L MB |

This is waaaaaaaaaaay beyond any budget of mine MB, current price on Jessops is £1,109
The 10-20mm is bloody awesome though, not regretted that purchase for a single second |

UWA isn't really my bag but I feel I'd like to have a baseline of 17mm which only leaves me two decent options the 17-40mm f4L and the 17-55mm 2.8 IS, 24mm is just a little too long for me with out an additional lens. Ist all very complicated.
You'll have a lot of fun with the 2.8 though, it gets great write ups MB |

Hope I manage to lift it off the ground!
That, coupled with the 30D and the grip is going to make for a serious workout |

The 24-70L is my perfect walkabout lens, having a 10-22 to cover the wide end and a 70-200 for the longer so it fits perfectly. I've thought about hiring one but resist mainly because I know I'd have to buy one immediately.
My only issue with this lens is the lack of IS, which I find inexcusable at this price point. Rumours persist of an IS version but no-one really knows for sure.
