Oh bloody hell, now what??!
Ok, PC is a new and was working perfectly Intel system with XP MCE 2005.
Changed PSU to a more powerful and quieter one. Now it won't boot properly. As soon as the windows loadinf screen with the little scrolling bar thing appears it reboots Any thoughts? Can't really just put the old psu in as that's now in a different system. |

Absolutely everything plugged in and tight? I know it's an almost insulting suggestion but the number of times i've seen experienced builders forget a 4pin motherboard cable or something beggars belief

Or in my case use the wrong screw and punch through the PSU circuit board

Step AWAY from the computer. Not insulting at all, divine. I ballsed up. There's 2 hard drives in the comp. One is left over from the old motherboard etc. and I haven't got around to wiping it to use it as space.
And of course I forgot to plug in the SATA cable for the new drive. So it was trying to boot from the old install |
