Parade of Power - comments welcome

I took these at the Santa Pod 'Parade of Power'
First time really using my D70s out of 'auto mode' (aka point and shoot) probably not the best thing to do when I had offered to stick together a report of the evening

(yes...I struggled/panicked...and did revert back to auto mode...which turned out 'orrible!). All on the standard lens 18-70mm
These are 3 of the ones that I like....would love comments on how to improve going forward (all I have done is a resize, these are straight out the camera)
