Easiest way to make a 3D logo?
Anybody know the easiest way of making a 3D logo?
I've been given the task of making one, got as far as a fairly accurate model in Max but had some issues texturing it (everything kinda went black, even with adding lighting!) I know photoshop CS4 has some 3D skills to, so tried to add the model in PS and texture it but didn't really know how to apply textures in there either! anybody got any tips? I might also have to re-design the actual logo itself as we don't appear to have a high-res version also, does anybody recognise this font? I've no idea what it is so might have to come up with a new one; Last edited by Joe 90; 07-09-2009 at 20:00. |

E-mail me the 3D max model, I'll have a look at it.
To texture in Max you have to put the model on the bottom layer, and it's simply a case of merging down textures above onto the angle of the model. Not really that clever, but can reap some good rewards, my friend got some awesome camo metal onto a tank doing it. Obviously the best way is still by unwrapping in max and doing it separately. |
