Default Can we talk about Emulators ?

As above, I used to have a BBC Model B back in the 80's, still play with it today! (Via "Beeb Em") just wondered if anybody else re-lives their past like I do?

I've got a copy of Beeb Em on my work laptop for when I'm stuck abroad. I'm just as crap at Dare Devil Denis now, as I was when I played it on my Beeb model B!

Good lord. Haven't used a BBC for years. Must try and rack my brains for decent oldskool games.

My dad murdered his by shoving 240 volts down a data port (wasn't intentional, but the hardware wasn't too keen on it). His had the tube, sideways RAM (or ROM, or whichever), and all the rest.

One of my uncle's gave us one of these and it was great. My favourite game was one where you fly an aircraft round trying to shoot other enemy aircraft and you move through time. Does anyone know what it's called?

I once got to I think it was 2010 and was exactic and then died

EDIT: thanks to the miracle that is youtube it was called space pilot. Infact I'm going to play it tomorrow, already got my disk image and emulator

EDIT: EDIT: Infact we should have a BBC hall of fame where people set games and you have to get the hightest score Just been watching the rest of that space pilot video and, ahhhhhh! brings back memories

BBC Model B takes me back to primary school.

We used to really annoy the teachers with:

10 Print "OMG HI2U" (etc etc)
20 Goto 10

ah, those were the days - the teachers didn't have a clue.

Bit before my time for gaming though, the emulators I tend to make use of for gaming are for running Amiga 600 or Atari ST games.

You forgot something:

1 MODE 7

Big text is even more annoying!

MODE 7 was the teletext mode. MODE 2 was the evil one, and I even had software that doubled that text size.
