Default Went wheeling again Saturday.

Best $30 I could have spent ($20 on petrol, $10 on hot dogs and buns). Got a massive sunburn on my half bald head, but had a blast!!

Here's mine (on the right) compared to the other two similar models.

Here's all 7 of the Jeeps that went on the trip.

Cool pic of four of the Jeeps in a dry river bed.

Me climbing a small rock...

My bud John burying his lifted Jeep up to the differentials in the soft stuff.

Duff showing the hole John left...

My poser shot.

John in a canyon getting ready to climb some SERIOUS rocks.

Another poser shot showing off the new window sticker.

Skinner showing off his hill climbing abilities. Notice the angle the red one is at in comparison to Skinner?

And Skinner showing off his flex.

Another poser shot...

All in all a really fun day. We stopped at the area where my first poser shot was taken and grilled up some hot dogs and BS'd for about an hour. We also did some pretty serious donuts out on the flat land. I was the only one that had a little hand brake fun. Just about put the Jeep on its roof doing it, but it was funny as hell to see an offroad 4X4 doing some credible drifting. I managed to keep one power slide going for about 300m or so. Then I caught a rather large rock with the rear tyre and felt the inside ones lift. Decided it was time to cool it off after that.

We're looking to get a few more Jeeps involved for the next run some time in October. There's 15 in our Utah Jeep Crew so far. Trying to get everyone involved in the next run...

SACRILEGIOUS SPEAK!!!! 22's on a Jeep???

Actually, it needs a slight lift (2-3 inches) and bigger tyres. Like 31X10.50X15's. Just like I had on my previous Jeep.

But that requires money. Something lacking in my bank account right now.

I actually drove half way up from the bottom at that exact spot. Started to get a little light on the skids with the front tyres and backed down again. But I got the farthest up that cliff face out of all 7 of the Jeeps. Was quite proud of my beater!!

Heh, no biggie. About the biggest tyres one can put on my particular Jeep is 35". Most people tend to keep the 15" wheels though, so as to have a larger sidewall on the tyre to prevent pinching it when hitting the ugly stuff (rocks) on a trail. Low profile are wonderful for street handling, but they sure can't take much in the way of a good pothole.

And some of the stuff we get in to with our Jeeps makes the worst pothole in London look like a pebble is missing from the road. There's one hole we went through that completely swallowed John's Jeep (the big silver lifted one). I mean, his roof was below ground level!! Was lots of fun sliding down into it and then trying everything we could to get back out.

Good times.
