Default Calling all you Liverpool People!!

Hi guys

I have been asked to source a venue not far from the airport. I see there is a Marriot, but wondered if you guys knew of anywhere a bit cheaper.

Anywhere in the Speke Road area would be great.

Many thanks!

I dont know speke very well at all, but i have a feeling theres not much in the way of competition there, because right outside the airport (or even link i actually forget) is a hotel where most business people seem to stay (which could be the marriot i forget) and it seems to be the closest and most sensible to the airport.

Aye agreed, not much near Speke to be honest.

What sort of venue are you after and for what purpose?

Its for a seminar with canapes and refreshments - we are inviting teachers and other school staff. A networking event.

Cheers

Hmm, i'm not from Speke and don't know the area inside and out. However the times I've been to the airport I get the impression it's fairly sparse and mainly residential.

Do you need the airport because people are flying in or because it's out of the city centre/it's well sign posted?

You have a main road (ish) going from there all the way to the centre, it's like half an hour, and you'll have a lot more choice there. Though it will probably be more expensive. Hotels for the size of the city aren't cheap.

I'd probably recommend making you're way into the city centre, its easy enough. I didn't say that before because i didn't think you'd wanna hear that really! =/ It would give you many more options though

Not far from the airport eh. There's a new budget hotel by Hilton called Hampton that is literally across the road from the airport. You leave and there it is. It has some great photography in the rooms </shameless plug>

Thanks Pete - I will get prices and suggest to them. Am actually going to say - why don't you source a venue yourself because I don't live in Liverpool and I can't go to view them :/
