Volvo Red Blocks

Anyone know about the fabled Volvo Red Block....in particular can you get them in 2.3 16v Turbo form....with a manual gearbox?

I am hatching an idea....which may or may not see the light of day!!

Its all a bit new to me, so im looking to see if such a donor car actually exists before I really start to think about it too much

Such a fabled beast doesnt exist

So.... a 2.3 8v turbo lump, then a 16v head and a manual gearbox and....it could be on its way to 500bhp
Now to see if I can find a 940 Turbo (with the 13mm con rods) and maybe I can see if I can make more progress than a certain Kev Taylor (who still hasnt shown his face yet...bastid)
