StreetReport
A guy on AVF made this app and I helped him to test it a little and made some suggestions. It went live on the app store a few weeks back and I think it's a great little app so thought I'd mention it. Feel free to spread the word
It allows you to report various problems in your area to your local council. You can set a position manually or via GPS, list the problem and then upload it to the Fix My Street site. This is then sent on to your local council who will look in to it. Just the other day on our morning walk the pathway onto an old railway track was getting very overgrown. I reported it using StreetReport and two days later it had all been cut back It's a free app so give it a whirl, you've got nothing to lose.

Will do, certainly handy though it took my local council 2-3 years to fix the last thing I reported (a broken handrail).

I would check your local council's site first if you want to report a problem.
Kent have an online system which you can fill out online and get updates by email etc. The Fix My Street site just sends through a load of garbled mess to the Kent system that makes things worse to identify than if you were to use the Kent system from the start. **Side note** I love it when people unload a brain dump of complaints and none of them have anything to do with the council. When you try to explain that to them they just say "I logged it on Fix My Street so it must be yours to fix!!". |
