Weird sale
Ok, here's a weird one.. I put an OC WC 8800GTX on OCuK MM two months ago and some chap said that he really wanted it and could he pay a deposit to hold. I said yes since there were no other offers.
Anyway, he paid a £10 deposit but I've heard nothing since. I've emailed him a few few times but to no avail. I want to get rid of it personally but morally what should I do?

I'd drop him a final email saying that you assume he's no longer interested and ask for bank details or address so that you can return his deposit.

Sell it on and just give him his deposit back if he asks for it.

I wouldn't go out of my way to return his deposit. It defeats the point of him giving you one on the first place (fnaar etc...)
Just email him one last time to say you need the money so if he doesn't pay up you're selling it on. If he responds asking for the deposit back then let him have it but otherwise keep it as payment for the hassle. |
