Default You think the Nurburgring is dangerous nowadays?

Vix's comedy rallying post reminded me of this gem. Total mayhem at Adenauer Forst in the 1970s

Ah, the 1970’s... when men were men and seatbelts were optional...

I pissed myself when that Hippy got chucked out. Can't believe the convertible buggy Four up though.
When i was a kid we never wore seat belts until my fave aunty went through the windscreen of a Commer van.
When we went to see her in hospital they wouldn't let us kids on the ward, We stayed by the door & waved at my Auntie Marion whose face looked like Frankensteins as in those days the stitches were Huge.
Good vid though reminded me of GT Legends.

That's pretty amazing, I liked the way the guy got chucked out the Beetle then dusted himself off and got back in. Pretty good corner to hang around if you wanted to see a bit of action back in those days.

Things I've learnt about old cars from that video:

1) They fall over *really* easily.

2) People used to carry no end of crap in them.

Did anyone manage to count the number of pairs of flares?

It's still a good corner to watch at, but more because there's usually a decent amount of drifting rather than crashes.

My sig is actually from that corner - a couple of friends painted my name on the track on a trip I didn't make
