5.1 (now 6.1) Gear for sale
I'm letting my living room 5.1 kit go.
Ive decided that as the only things the upstairs TV gets used for is ANTM and Waybaloo that we don't really need an amp and speakers up there for surround or heavy bass plus the cables and cabinet are a temptation for Amelie to pull on or fall on to. I can quite confidently say that the speaker and the amp are brilliant, those of you who have been to Bannister Heights and been in the cellar know that I am uncompromising with my kit and when I bought both of these I made sure I was getting the best value for money I could, consistently the effect of these together is excellent. So here is what I have 4x Canton CD10 (surround) 1x Canton CD50 (centre) 1x Canton CD1 SC (sub) 2 stands for the CD10s All in silver and all in good nick, these speakers are good quality and they are heavy not the stupid light rubbish you get with a TV, they sound 100x bigger than they look Also on the block is my Marantz SR5400 This thing is an excellent 5.1 amp and is very very capable power wise, it will handle most things but it doesn't do HDMI switching, I haven't seen anything decent with HDMI which doesn't have an optical out so it should matter but someone might see it as a compromise if they want state of the art kit. I'll throw in 5 cables of various lengths 2-7m 1 Sub cable 2x optical leads Here are the pics Cost me £1000- £1500 new and your for £250 collected! MB |

Put me down as an interested party please, couple of things to get sorted first. I need to get 5.1 again and this would be an ideal way to do it.

Duely noted
Just for the sake of completeness I have been in the loft and I can add that the deal will also include 1x Canton CD20 This was the original centre which I upgraded when I bought the kit and have never used (although it does seem to have picked up a scratch in the loft) (Please note, prop sock is not included) Absolutely brand spanking new remote (I disposed of my previous amp which was also a Marantz and used the old remote so this one stayed in the box untouched) Original box Now having 6 speakers and a 6.1 amp you have everything you need for a 6.1 setup in this deal MB |

Spur-of-the-moment decision that I need to do something with my system - but not yet decided if it's downsize or get rid. I suspect my amp is similar to yours so my primary interest would be the speakers, but I could always sell one or other amp with my speakers.
Big issue for me would be the lack of car, but if that can be worked around then I'd like to express a reserve interest. |

Are you sure you can't include the sock? Tis a deal-breaker for me I'm afraid

Sorry Kitten, the sock was a present from Amelie, well actually the pair of socks of which that is one, so it has sentimental value.

Payday Friday so I'll need to check the lie of the land thereafter before committing, though I plan to sell a camera to pay for it. And there's still the transport problem to resolve.
If someone else happens by with a better plan, please don't wait. |
