Default Royal Haggis?

Anyone know of a good place to purchase a Royal Haggis (made with Venison) online?

Got a friend looking for one for a friend and my local butchers aren't much good

I had one some time ago from here: http://shop.scottishhaggis.co.uk/Cat...53-haggis.aspx but I can't see the Venison version any more in their list. It was called the 'Smoked Monarch', it might be worth a phone call to them.

A quick google brings this site up: http://www.findlayofportobello.co.uk...d&productId=60

/edit - I want to try one of these: http://www.findlayofportobello.co.uk...od&productId=5 curry haggis

One of our local butchers does those. I may still have his details somewhere, but don't hold your breath on me finding them.

For mail order sausages I can recommend Beckenham's Villagers sausage shop. They are a Boerwors specialist too

Thanks will check them out. I love that sausage it's so dense and meaty, nothing like an English sausage.

I'm going to give these butchers a go next time, a great big selection and they have baby back ribs, beef short ribs as well as various bones. I know you can phone and butchers will do any cut for you but I'm lazy.

Having just ot back from SA i can agree Boerewors is pretty damn nice! Probably helped by the fact i was in the sun and having a traditional braai all cooked by a local Really don't want to be home right now!

I can empathise withthat feeling. I love SA, been there a few times and whenever I watch something set in Africa I always feel gutted that I'm not back there.
