Default Lemon iced tea?

Does anyone else have an insane love of this drink. I rediscovered it in Aus and it's amazing. No idea why it's not that popular over here.

Got two questions has anyone made it before and offer any tips/recipes as there's literally a million and one out there.

Also I don't want to use sugar, but I'm also trying to cut down on refined/man made/additives. Was wondering if anyone knew what alternatives are meant to be good.

Unfortunately I can't help with your quest to make it, but I have found that in Slovenia it's the nicest I've ever had.

The closest I've found to it over here is in Aldi and Lidl the basic cheap stuff. Lipton is possibly the worst I've ever had.

Apple juice is often used as a sweetner, not sure if it would work here, worth a google though

I prefer peach. Drink gallons of the stuff. Mango is even better but harder to get in the UK.

Well used fruit sugar this time but used 1/3 the sugar recommended and it's still 200calories. Think I need to try the apple juice trick or find xylitol.

Just chilling now, 2 litres water, 3 tea bags, 1/2 cup lemon juice and was meant to be 3/4cups sugar, but have tried just 1/4cup.

It's so close but yet so far, PG tips does not have the right tea taste.
And certainly not as sweet as commercial stuff, but I don't think it would be to bad with the correct tea bag and a bit of tinkering.
