Bad Grammar/Spelling really annoys me
This following quote was taken from a comment on a picture on Facebook.
"I no sum ppl who hvnt had many bday but r olda den sum ovas" This type of thing I find very annoying as it's just people being lazy and can't be bothered with typing things out properly. I know a lot of people have grown up with mobiles and are used to text speak so they can get longer messages to friends etc but doing the same or similar when commenting on FB just really get my goat. /Rant EDIT: And I know this should have no impact on their English but take a guess where they live.(at least according to their FB profile)

I don't mind a bit of txt speak in text messages or on messenger programs. However in emails or when trying to compose some proper writing even on forums I do find it frustrating and tend to switch off / ignore.

Yeah in text messages I understand the need (only so much space) the same as messenger programs and Twitter etc.
It's when people use it all the time when not necessary that gets to me. When I used to play Guild Wars one of the guilds I was in used to enforce a "no text speak in guild chat" rule. If it was used then you get a warning if used again you get kicked.

Bad spelling and grammar does my nut in. I know it's easy to make some mistakes and everybody does it...there will probably be one in this post. But some people make absolutely no effort at all.

I only use text speak if I am texting or if I am posting from my phone.
Agreed though - that is awful! Tell them to go back to school! BB x |

I'll ask Jen to let them know as they apparently come from Swansea and she's closer
