Walking
Not sure this is technically a "sport" but it's an exersise, so I'll put it here...
I do quite a lot of walking/hiking and am after a set of poles. Anybody use any walking poles that they would like to recommend? |

Millets' range seemed reasonable. I got two cheap poles from there for navigating in snow. Only used one of them, but it certainly did the job.

Are you getting old? Next you'll be asking us which red Berghaus jacket to buy
Seriously though, have you got a Cotswolds near you? The one in London has a fair range of walking poles and other mountaineering/walking equipment like boots and crampons.

I thought a couple of poles may help keep my footing and take some of the pressure off. While we're speccing hiking kit, I could do with a beard and some thick wooly socks to wear with my shorts.... |
