Travelling with Google Maps?
I'm off on a stag to Brussels on Wednesday and have been using a Google Map to plot our apartment & various bars/places to visit.
Is it possible to 'download' said map in order to use it on iPhone/iPad off-line while in Brussels? |

You can do it on Google Android devices but don't think you can on Apple devices.

I think there are several offline-map applications. once you have an offline map the GPS is fine without data.
However you can't do it directly with the maps app on the iPhone

There's an app Matt used while we were in Cyprus that you could use offline, will ask him to tweet you if you're about?

There are some free apps in the appstore for maps. Depending on your iOS version there might be stuff in the jailbreak community

I found CityMaps2Go last night & have downloaded maps of the cities we were looking to visit.
They seem to feature all the things we want to go see, so I've added a few extra bookmarks & hopefully it'll be just what we need. |
